3 ways to find a topic so you can start writing within 5 minutes

I have no clue what to write about.

Some days it’s hard to find a topic. The writing itself comes easy, if only I knew what I would like to talk about. Even after a session of journaling followed by note-exploring, I still have nothing. So how do you start when you go blank?

Here are 3 ways to find a topic:

Explore the why

Think about the things you are going to do today. Why are they important to you? What would you like to achieve there? Why would it matter to others?

Share your reasoning with the world.

Explain the how

What have you done yesterday that many people don’t know how to do? What’s the one thing you are really good at? What can they learn from you?

Write a step-by-step list for others to follow.

Show the what

What is it you are doing all day long? What hobbies do you enjoy? Do people know what that is? Are there specific words attached to it that people struggle to understand?

Dive into your topic and show people the things you care about.

We all know a lot that others don’t. We have unique ways to look at the world. We rarely share why we get up in the morning.

Start writing and let the world know who you are.
