What made you start with Access?
When you are doing Access Consciousness, this is a question you get asked a lot. I have asked it myeself several times, and I also enjoy telling my story.
At the beginning of 2016 I was in a bad place. I was unemployed after recently experiencing burn-out syndrome, my relationship wasn’t working, I had zero energy and tried at the same time very hard to establish my own company and have enough clients to keep me afloat.
There were no progress or successes and hadn’t been for months. I felt depressed and ready to give up.
I was searching for something to lift my spirits and get me out of this rut. All the modalities I had tried up to this point gave me some relief, but it didn’t stick in the long run. I spent countless hours on YouTube, watching one inspirational video after the other waiting for the next thing that could be “the one”.
Easter Sunday approached and I took a stroll in the forest with a very good friend. We talked about all of this going on, and I remember standing there on this cold April morning saying out loud: “Universe, I know all the places where my life isn’t working. And I don’t have one single tool to change any of it. Where are the f**cking tools?”
Finally, I had asked a question. That one tiny question changed EVERYTHING.
Three days later I’m on YouTube again. Under ‘Suggested videos’ this one catches my attention: How to make quantum leaps in your life. I’m intrigued and I click.
Lilou Mace is interviewing this American dude. He is cute, and he talks fast enough to keep my attention. And everything that comes out of his mouth makes total sense to me. This is what I know, this is what I have always known to be true. Who is this guy and what is he doing?
He is talking about a book that he has written, and then he uses one strange sentence all the time. And I feel better. Weird.
When the video ends I watch it again. Ok, so this is Dain Heer and the book is “Being You Changing the World”. And this strange sentence is the Clearing Statement they use in Access Consciousness.
I grab my Kindle and order the book. Can’t wait for the mailman, I’m in a rush now. I start reading and something shifts. I finish the book in a week and I’m a different person after that. Everything seems lighter, brighter and there is a silver lining. Change is possible, I don’t have to be depressed for the rest of my life and struggle.
A week after I finished the book I took my first Access Bars class. My first Access The Foundation class the next weekend. The rest is, as they say, history.
Access Consciousness has given me countless tools to change every area of my life.
Access Bars is one of them. After just one session it lifted the fog, the dark cloud, and I could perceive beauty in the world again.
The “Being You” book and the Foundation class added hundreds of practical tools to my toolbox. These tools keep me sane in a reality that’s not making sense to me and where I don’t fit in.
I am finally allowed to be me, with all my quirks and weird humor. I’ve learned that what I considered as weak and wrong about me actually is my biggest strongness and the gift this world is waiting for.
I’ve met a lot of amazing people in all the classes I have taken so far, and I found many good friends there. My days are filled with meaningful conversations about life and how to create what you desire.
In addition to all this I’m blessed to be working with and for Access Consciousness every day. I live and breathe Access and my life keeps expanding and growing in ways I never thought possible.
My gratitude for Gary Douglas, founder of Access Consciousness, Dr. Dain Heer and all the other amazing Access Consciousness facilitators (you know who you are) is immense and words will not do it justice.
Access has shaped me and my life. Off I go into the world to share these tools with everyone who is interested. Are you one of them?
